Print- Bug Eyes "Hold on Tight"

In the height of the pandemic, I sat on the floor of my livingroom blasting Mt. Joy's album "Rearrange Us," terrified at the realization that I'd spent a decade busting my butt for a career that was making me sick. I was so tied to making what I thought was the right decisions - get a stable corporate job, follow the rules, be responsible. Though I used many of pro-con lists to debate leaving that job, it was one song, "Bug Eyes" on that album that became my mantra. I played it on repeat as I painted every day from the moment I closed my work laptop 'til the early hours of the morning when I put down my brush.

The original oil painting of this piece sits in my home during the week. I doubt I'll ever sell it, just in case I need that reminder down the road.
