Hello, and welcome to our women driven art collective, located on the east side of Austin, Texas! Clover + Maven was created by three women business owners turned friends turned business partners. Shelley of Shelley Moon Designs, Ryan of Ryan Doolittle Glass and Elizabeth Hyman of The Gardener's Wife all saw a need within the local Austin artist community.  At the beginning of 2023 they got together weekly to have coffee and discuss upcoming pop-up shows. They discussed what marketing strategies worked for them in 2022, what products sold the best, what trends they were seeing and how they could best support each other and the rest of the vendor community.

They asked themselves, "How can we, as vendors and creatives, show up for the hardworking artist and maker community here in Austin?"If you ask any artist or maker about doing pop-ups they will tell you, "it's hard work!" Venue load in, popping open a tent, standing in 100+ degree heat with no breeze (or juxtapose, 30 degree temps with a strong wind!), being engaging and selling their work, then breaking it all down at the end, and loading back out and into your car! It gets tiresome and can often be discouraging, especially if that show was particularly slow or sales weren't great. Working pop-ups is a crucial piece of creative's business, it's where they are able to highlight their skills, get their art or products noticed, but more so, connect with the community and gain a following.

So they asked themselves again, "What if we had a shop that was like a pop-up, but permanent?" Clover + Maven was born! It has grown from 17 makers to over 55 in less than a year and hosts open calls for new makers several times a year.
